We recently acquired this absolutely gorgeous Mahogany Thunderbox toilet by George Jennings (1810-1882). They are also known as campaign toilets due to their use by officers during war campaigns. George Jennings was an English sanitary engineer and plumber who invented the first public flushing toilets. If you want to, you can find out more about him here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Jennings. This Thunderbox toilet is an excellent example of his work from the mid 19th century and is in excellent condition.
